Park picnic shelters are available to reserve for family reunions, weddings and other celebrations. Shelter reservations require a fee and a cleaning/damage deposit. The 1200 Square foot Playfair Recreation Building is available to rent for classes, gatherings and meetings and hosts a meeting room, kitchen, fireplace, patio and a gas grill.

Park alcohol policy: For groups of two or more, a $200 deposit is required for a beer and wine permit. Alcohol use in McCormick, Caras and Kiwanis parks requires a $10 fee in addition to the $200 deposit. Alcohol is never allowed in Greenough Park, Jacobs Island, Clark Fork Natural Area, Kim Williams Trail, Westside Park, Gregory Park or any other park that does not have public restrooms available.

Parks are open from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.
Please leach your dog while in city parks and on trails.  Owners are responsible to remove their pet’s waste.

Missoula’s 3,500 acres of backyard conservation lands offers great hiking and biking opportunities. Trails on Mount Sentinel, Mount Jumbo, the Waterworks Hill and many other surrounding areas provide the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy what nature has to offer. Check the Outdoors Page for Local Missoula’s guide to hiking and biking.

Missoula Parks and Recreation have recently added several new deluxe elements to include the Mobash Skate Park, Currents, Brennan’s Wake, Splash Montana, Silver’s Lagoon, Various Spraygrounds and the Jungle Gyms at playgrounds such as Dragon’s Hollow.  Be sure to check the Parks and Rec.
